“Be Prepared.”

Get your supplies before classes begin. Have everything you need a week in advance. Order the required course materials several weeks in advance. Decide how you plan to study and gather your supplies. Find out if your school or class requires specific hardware or software. Often you can get software discounts at the school's bookstore. Sometimes loaner equipment and financial aid specifically for technology are available. Give yourself a window of days to ensure your technology is functioning properly, to acclimate yourself to the new virtual environment, and to resolve unanticipated problems.
